Expanded Polypropylene

FLEXIBLE. VERSATILE. RELIABLE.

MANUFACTURING

Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) is an extremely versatile plastic foam material. Polypropylene resin is put through a special process in which the material is formed into small plastic beads. These beads are then injected into a steam chest where they are moulded to a desired shape using steam heat and pressure.

APPLICATIONS

EPP serves a large market in the motor industry. It is also used in a wide range of other applications due to its light weight and resilient structure.

EPP is used largely in bumper, seating, interior, stowage systems and safety.

Polypropylene has outstanding mechanical properties and moulding ability, and therefore accounts for more than half of all the plastic materials used in automobiles. EPP offers excellent impact resistance due to its energy and shock absorption properties.

Packaging made from EPP meets the requirements of protection, temperature control, sterility and security.

EPP serves as a durable packaging material, and works exceptionally well for returnable and reusable packaging.

EPP dunnage is commonly used for delicate components such as electronics, glass or painted parts.

Polypropylene is easily moulded to conform to almost any item. The material is strong enough to withstand multiple impacts yet remains lightweight and agile. Dunnage made from EPP not only protects the parts in transit, but allows for easier and more efficient shipping, unpacking, and assembly.

Heat-exchangers, valves, control mechanisms and pumps.

EPP has various approaches to thermohydraulics thanks to its heat insulation property. It is ideal for heating, air-conditioning, ventilation and insulation.

The material’s thermal insulation property combined with other characteristics such as light weight, flexibility, energy absorption and high strength make it the perfect material for casing systems.

Ideal for industries including; butcheries, delicatessen, cakes, live food, pharmaceuticals and catering.

EPP has various approaches to thermohydraulics thanks to its heat insulation property. It is ideal for heating, air-conditioning, ventilation and insulation.

The packaging material is designed to keep goods hot or cold as well as protect them in transit.

EPP is used in protective equipment such as helmets, baby car seats, and sports protective gear such as padding for the arms, shoulders, legs and chest.

EPP is able to withstand repeated impact without significant deformation and able to return to its original shape. Combined with its ability to withstand such stress, being lightweight and flexible makes the material ideal for protective equipment.
